Thai - Hawk... Betwixt the Two

I moved from Thailand to England a year and a half ago and have enjoyed the different lifestyle and culture. England is very different to Thailand, the pace of life is hectic and there is not so much time to do everything in England. I find the busy lifestyle in England can mean that there is less time to spend with the family. In Thailand there is a lot of fresh foods unlike England where there seems to be more tinned food and ready made meals. The differences in the food are amazing. Everyday in Thailand you buy fresh food for your dinner that day. I still love to eat the fresh fruits and salads in England. My daughters Jen and Frang like to eat chips, as potatoes in Thailand are expensive and so chips are not eaten very much.

Religion in Thailand involves going to temples to pray to Buddah and relax. I am looking forward to Christmas as this is not really celebrated in Thailand, I enjoy the carols as there is no singing at the Temples in Thailand. The children are very excited about Christmas and looking forward to the day as it is a different experience for them. The environment in England and Thailand is diverse. I like the green spaces and trees in England and the air in England is fresher than in Thailand. I enjoy the different seasons in England as Thailand is generally quite humid all year round. The monsoon season in Thailand is between September and October which means that houses are often flooded and people often have to move out of their houses and stay with family or friends who live higher up. I really enjoy the English culture and think that the school system is England is excellent. I look forward to many happy years in England.
